Slyman’s has been a Cleveland-area favorite since they opened their original deli at the corner of East 31st Street and St. Clair back in 1964.  World-famous for their piled-high corned beef sandwiches and other monster-sized sandwiches, they are now ready to serve diners right here in Mentor.

Slyman’s Tavern, located at 7601 Mentor Avenue, features their deli classics as well as new menu options including salads and appetizers, as well as some vegan options. The restaurant features seating for over 200 guests including a bar area and a lunch counter.

When asked by the News-Herald why they chose Mentor, Director of Operations, George Fox offered that, “People kept saying, ‘Build it and they will come.”

If their first few weeks of operations were any indication of things to come, the people were certainly right!

We thank Slyman’s for their investment in our community and wish them success in the future. For menu, hours and other information, visit slymanstavern.com or on facebook.
