Residents are advised that work on the Rice Detention Basin project located south of the former Dale R. Rice Elementary School between Chase Drive and Brooks Boulevard is ready to commence.
The purpose of the project is to create a stormwater basin to attenuate peak flows during large rain events. Residents may experience minor short-term delays while equipment and trucks are working in the roadway. However, two-way traffic and access to property will be maintained at all times.
