The Mentor Police and Fire Departments will be hosting a Safety Forces Open House on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Mentor Police Station and Mentor Fire Station #5 parking lots located at 8500 Civic Center Boulevard.
Kids of all ages will have the opportunity to:
- Meet police officers and firefighters
- See fire engines, police SUVs, and other specialty vehicles
- Tour the police and fire departments
- Watch an auto extrication using the Jaws of Life
- Watch a K9 and drone demo
- Photo opportunities
- Learn equipment and safety information
- Third Grade Seatbelt Poster Contest Awards
For those interested in a career with the safety forces, this is a great opportunity to speak with police officers and firefighters and see what Mentor has to offer.
