This evening, the public will see a fire and law enforcement presence on area roadways and bridges for the motorcade with fallen US Army Sgt. Thomas Cole Walker and his family.
While we understand the desire for many to witness this and to show their respect, it needs to be done with safety in mind. Vehicles parked on public roads and/or pedestrians standing alongside roadways and bridges – especially at night – create an unsafe situation that places observers and drivers at risk.
Those interested in honoring Sgt. Walker are asked to gather in the City of Conneaut along Main Street between Harbor Street and Mill Street (State Route 7).
