Lake County has upgraded its Reverse 911 system which can send messages in multiple ways including SMS text, wireless emergency alerts and even email. It’s going to take 30-60 days to migrate to this new system. Nearly 7,000 cell phone numbers from the old system have been migrated but some of this information has undoubtedly changed.
