On 06/25/2026 at approximately 7:00 am, officers from the Mentor Police Department and Troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to a single vehicle accident on State Route 2 westbound near the west city limits.
Initial investigation revealed that a silver 2008 Ford G6 failed to maintain control, driving off the roadway, and eventually rolling over.
The driver and sole occupant of the Ford was ultimately transported to University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center with serious injuries. No other vehicles were involved.
The freeway was temporarily closed while the Accident Investigative Unit processed the scene.
