A Lake Effect Snow Warning is in effect for Lake County until 9 AM Saturday. Snow accumulations of 2-4 inches may be expected today with an additional 2-4 inches of snow this evening. White out conditions with further accumulations can occur where snow bands persist.
All available city snow crews remain active. Residents are advised that a street parking ban is still in effect until further notice in the City of Mentor.
Residents are advised to limit travel as much as possible and to remain alert to the presence of emergency vehicles.
Motorists are further advised that icy conditions make it difficult to maintain traction on bridges, hills, curves, railroad crossings and even minor slopes.
