Monday, May 27, the community is invited to pay tribute to those who have lost their lives serving their Country. A solemn processional will take place with units gathering in the Heinen’s parking lot at 9 a.m. The step-off at 9:30 a.m. will proceed east on Mentor Avenue to Hopkins Road and continue to the Mentor Municipal Cemetery where a ceremony including the raising of the flag, National Anthem and Taps are scheduled. Special guests include State Rep. Ron Young, State Senator John Eklund and keynote speaker Mark Hayden, an Army staff sergeant and Mentor resident. The ceremony should conclude by 10:30 a.m.
