Mentor City Council will meet on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 7:00 PM in council chambers located on the third floor of the Mentor Municipal Center. Historic Presentation: Forging a Nation
The city of Mentor will host a special presentation exploring the daily lives of those who lived through the American Revolution on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 7:00 PM at the Springbrook Gardenhouse with historian/collector Todd Brighton. This is a free event. Due to the content of the presentation, and fragility of the artifacts, this event is not suited for young children. Learn more.

Outdoor Pool at MCRC Opens May 23
The outdoor pool at the Mentor Community Recreation Center will open on Saturday, May 23, 2026. The pool features one lap lane, a 1-foot depth toddler area, 4-6 foot main swimming area, and a deck with seating. Use is open to MCRC members as well as those purchasing a day pass. Memorial Day Ceremony
All are invited to attend the city of Mentor’s annual Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 25, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Mentor Municipal Cemetery. The ceremony will be preceded by a solemn parade which will step-off at 9:30 AM from Memorial Middle School located at 8979 Mentor Avenue. It will proceed north to the cemetery, arriving at the Mentor Memorial Promenade. Members of city council and administration, county and state elected officials, and other veterans and civic groups will be in attendance. Mentor Municipal Cemetery is located at 6881 Hopkins Road. The ceremony will be recorded and rebroadcast for those unable to attend.
