jobsThe unemployment rate for the City of Mentor decreased 0.2% to 4.6% for the month of March 2016, ending four months of increases. One year ago the unemployment rate was 4.3%. In Lake County, the unemployment rate decreased to 5.2% in the month of March; one year ago the unemployment rate was 4.9%.

The City of Mentor tied for fourth with Kettering behind Lakewood, Columbus, and Cleveland Heights for the lowest unemployment rate among cities with a population of 50,000 or more.  The City’s civilian labor force remained 26,200.

The State of Ohio’s unemployment rate decreased to 5.4% for the month of March; 0.2% higher from one year ago.
