Updated: January 20, 2021  9:03 AM

Due to current weather conditions, the Mentor Police Department asks that you please stay off of the roads unless you absolutely have to be somewhere this morning. A street parking ban remains in effect until further notice. The parking ban related to the storm has been lifted.

Curbside trash and recycling will be not picked up by Waste Management today in the City of Mentor. Trash pickup will be delayed by one day this week.

30 plow trucks have been in service in the City of Mentor since 7:00 PM last night in an effort to keep up with the snowfall. During a snowstorm, plows focus on the main roads to benefit the greatest number of motorists. Once main roads are cleared and salted, side streets and cul-de-sacs are plowed.

The Mentor Public Works Department takes pride in keeping our roads clear of ice and snow, please help them get the job done by slowing down and giving them room to operate.
