The Ohio National Guard’s 122nd Army Band returns to the Mentor Civic Amphitheater for a free performance on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 7:00 PM.
Since 1944, the Ohio National Guard’s 122nd Army Band has been a staple of the musical tradition of the United States military in Ohio. Members of the band hail from every corner of Ohio (plus a few from other states) to strengthen troop morale and build a positive connection between the public and the Ohio National Guard.
The 122nd is an award-winning band repeatedly recognized for excellence by the Army Music Program. They have performed thousands of missions for audiences totaling over ten million people. Citizens, soldiers, and musicians alike all agree that the 122nd Army Band is one of the nation’s leading groups of its kind.
The 122nd’s diverse ensembles perform for a wide variety of audiences, ranging from military ceremonies to parades and an annual tour of the State of Ohio, performing exciting concerts for communities across the Buckeye State.
Free admission and parking. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets. Food and beverage sales will not be available at this event. Coolers are welcome. No outside alcohol, glass containers, or pets permitted on Amphitheater grounds.
This concert is a part of the Mentor Cultural Arts Series and is sponsored by Remarkable Lake County, University Hospitals and Mimi Vanderhaven.
