This week, the Regional Income Tax Agency (RITA) will begin mailing approximately 2,100 non-filer letters to taxpayers of record who neglected to file a local municipal income tax return for taxable year 2022. Recipients of these letters are instructed to simply e-file returns at ritaohio.com, mail, or fax to RITA the documents listed in the non-filer letter. Failure to respond may result in the taxpayer receiving a subpoena to produce records later this year.
