As autumn approaches, we are on schedule with the completion of multiple road construction projects across our city. Here’s an update on key projects nearing completion in Mentor.

Annual City Street Repair Program
Each year, approximately 30 local streets are repaired and repaved as part of this program. All asphalt streets on this year’s schedule have been completed, and repairs on the remaining concrete streets, including Kellogg Creek, Snowberry Ct., Brandywine, and Munson Rd., are expected to be finished within the next several weeks.

Lakeshore Boulevard Resurfacing Project
Milling, asphalt base repairs, and the intermediate asphalt layer for this project are complete. Casting adjustments and concrete repairs are ongoing. The surface course is expected to be installed over the next several weeks, with the project scheduled for completion by September 30.

Civic Center Parking Lot
Construction of a new 150-space parking lot began this spring. Concrete curbs and light pole foundations have been installed, and asphalt paving is set to start this week. The project is expected to be substantially completed in early October.

Hoose Road Resurfacing
This project is scheduled to begin the week of September 8 and is expected to be substantially completed by September 22. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers.

Cannon Ridge Concrete Repair Project
This project is scheduled to begin on Monday, September 8, and should take approximately three weeks to complete. A one-way northbound traffic pattern will be implemented and maintained throughout the project.
