A contingent from the City of Mentor International Trade Initiative (MITI) will embark on a European trade mission April 19 – 29, 2016 which will include stops in the United Kingdom and Germany.
The mission of MITI is to assist Mentor-based companies who seek to expand or develop new export markets as well as attract foreign investment to the City of Mentor.
The group will meet with the British American Business Council (BABC) and the Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce to present investment opportunities in the City as well as explore trade opportunities for Mentor-based businesses.
A stopover in London will consists of meetings with US & UK government and business interests.
Finally, the group will represent Mentor at Hannover-Messe 2016 as part of US Department of Commerce Investment Pavilion. Hannover-Messe is recognized as the world’s leading trade fair for industrial technology. The meeting draws over 200,000 attendees from the global business community including global investors, buyers, distributors, resellers, and members of the business media.
MITI is currently arranging meetings with interested foreign parties to demonstrate why Mentor is an ideal place to enter or expand in the US Market and is an integral part of the City’s overall Economic Development strategy. Mentor area companies which are interested in expanding or exploring potential foreign markets are invited to accompany the group.
“This is an ideal opportunity for companies who are ready to explore new markets,” says Kimberly Holizna, International Trade Manager, “Itinerants will have face time with government officials, trade representatives and investors as well as gain valuable exposure to potential trade partners which simply couldn’t be achieved on one’s own.”
