City of Mentor residents are asked to take a moment to complete the Community Needs Survey and let the City know which activities are important to you for the future use of the federally-funded Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.

The City is currently gathering opinions and data to produce the three-year CDBG Consolidated Plan, which will guide the use of CDBG funds in the upcoming five-year cycle.

The broad range of allowable activities that may be eligible to fund includes areas such as Housing and Homelessness, Social Services, Economic Development, and Public and Community Facility Improvements.  The clientele for such activities are primarily low-income persons and families, handicapped persons, homeless persons and others in crisis, veterans, seniors, and youths.

The geographic boundaries are within the City of Mentor, but public service providers serving Mentor residents should also complete the survey.
