Among cities in Ohio with a population of 50,000 or more, Kettering has the lowest unemployment rate with 3.0%, and Columbus has next lowest rate at 3.1%. Cuyahoga Falls and Springfield have the third and fourth lowest rates at 3.2% and 3.7%, while the City of Mentor has the fifth lowest unemployment rate at 4.6%. The City’s civilian labor force decreased 500 to 25,400.
The State of Ohio’s unemployment rate decreased 0.1% to 3.6% in May 2022. The rate for the State is 5.1% in May 2021.
