The unemployment rate in October 2022 for the City of Mentor increased 0.1% to 4.0% and one year ago, the unemployment rate was 3.5%. For Lake County, the unemployment rate increased 0.3% to 4.2% in October 2022 and one year prior, it was 3.8%.
Among cities in Ohio with a population of 50,000 or more, Kettering have the lowest unemployment rate with 3.6%, Columbus and Cuyahoga Falls has the next lowest rate at 3.7%. Mentor has the third lowest rate with 4.0%, and Lakewood has the fourth lowest rate at 4.5%. The City’s civilian labor force remained at 26,700.
The State of Ohio’s unemployment rate increased 0.3% to 4.1% in October 2022. The rate for the State was 4.0% in October 2021.
