STATE OF THE CITY ADDRESS
Mentor City Manager Kenneth J. Filipiak will deliver his 2026 State of the City address on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Mentor Schools Paradigm located at 6465 Center Street. Filipiak will review what was accomplished in 2025 as well as what’s in store for Mentor over the next year and beyond.

This is a ticketed event hosted by the Mentor Area Chamber of Commerce.  Tickets are available at $25 each for members and $30 for non-members. This event does sell out so those that wish to attend should register early.  Click HERE for additional information, or to register.

The presentation will be recorded and broadcast on the Mentor Channel, posted to the city website, and shared to the city’s social media platforms.

MUNICIPAL PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING
The Municipal Planning Commission will meet on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 7:00 PM in council chambers located on the third floor of the Mentor Municipal Center. Meetings are open to the public and are broadcast live on the Mentor Channel, Spectrum 1024, U-Verse 99, and on our App available for ROKU, Apple, Android, and Fire. Meetings are rebroadcast numerous times throughout the following week.

LAKESHORE BLVD BRIDGE DECK PROJECT TO BEGIN MARCH 2
The Ohio Department of Transportation has advised that repairs on the State Route 283 (Lakeshore Blvd) bridge will begin the first week of March 2026. Lane closures on SR-283 and SR-44 can be expected and two-way traffic will be maintained. Additional information will be posted as it becomes available.
