A public reception will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at the Mentor Municipal Center, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to meet the artists. All are welcome. This is a free event.

Flashlight Dash
This fun frolic takes place on Saturday, March 28th from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM at Blackbrook Golf Course. The Adult Flashlight Dash is a fast-paced, competitive all-out -sprint of an egg hunt just for adults 21 and over! Pre-registration is required. No on-site registration will be accepted. Parks & Rec Summer Program Guide
The 2026 Parks & Recreation Summer Program Guide will begin arriving in mailboxes this week and will be posted the city website soon. Get in on the fun and participate in hundreds of available classes and programs! Registration begins April 6th.
Yard Waste Collection Begins April 6th
The City of Mentor’s 2026 yard waste collection program will begin on April 6 and run through December 11. Each unit should weigh less than 35 lbs. Brush should not exceed three inches in diameter and must be cut into four-foot lengths and tied in bundles. Grass clippings, plants, leaves, small twigs, hedge trimmings, etc. can be contained in paper yard waste bags or rigid containers up to 32-gallon capacity with holes drilled on the side near the bottom to allow for water drainage. Leave the lid off and mark the container with YW.
Collection is limited to 12 units per week from April through the third week of October, and increases to 25 units per week the last full week of October to December.

Mentor Municipal Taxes Due April 15th
The 2025 Tax Season is upon us and the deadline for filing Mentor Municipal Tax forms or Exemption forms is Tuesday, April 15, 2025. Visit the RITA website at www.ritaohio.com to file your taxes, make a payment, check your refund status, view your payment history or send RITA a secure email. They offer online access to print and download tax forms.
Hometown Heroes
Positions still remain for the 2026 Hometown Heroes banner program. Families and organizations can sponsor banners for $100.00 each to cover production costs. Deadline for participation is April 15, 2026, or until all positions are filled. Learn more at cityofmentor.com.
