Among cities in Ohio with a population of 50,000 or more, Kettering has the lowest unemployment rate with 3.8%, and Cuyahoga Falls, Columbus, Lakewood, and Mentor have the next lowest rate at 4.0%. Springfield has the third lowest rate with 4.8%, and Cleveland Heights has the fourth lowest rate at 4.9%. The City’s civilian labor force increased 100 to 27,300.
The State of Ohio’s unemployment rate decreased 0.1% to 4.3% in August 2022. The rate for the State was 4.8% in August 2021.
