For the areas of Lake County, Cuyahoga, Lorain, and Ashtabula Lakeshore Counties and also for Erie County in neighboring Pennsylvania.
BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING.
- WHAT…High risk of rip currents expected.
- WHERE… In Ohio, Lake, Lorain, Cuyahoga, and Ashtabula Lakeshore Counties. In Pennsylvania, Northern Erie County.
- WHEN…Through this evening.
- IMPACTS…Wind and wave action will cause currents on the lakeshore. Swimmers should NOT enter the water. Currents can carry swimmers away from shore through a sand bar and along structures extending out into the lake.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions.
