Boil Advisory Issued for Portion of Hopkins Rd. & Highland Ct.

Aqua Ohio  has issued a precautionary boil water advisory for approximately 35 customers along a portion of Hopkins Road and Highland Court in Mentor.

The company notified affected customers by going door to door leaving notices. This
precautionary boil advisory will remain in effect until further notice.

As a result of an overnight water main break customers along a portion of Hopkins Rd. From
Edgehill Drive to Hopkins Elementary including Highland Ct. lost water service. Repairs were delayed because of the proximity of the break to a high pressure natural gas main.

While service has been restored, Aqua is conducting a series of tests to confirm that water meets all regulatory standards and has not been contaminated by bacteria. During this time the company will keep this advisory in effect. Edgehill Drive residents and Hopkins
Elementary are not affected by the advisory.
