The Mentor Historical Society will host an organizational meeting on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the main branch of the Mentor Public Library, located at 8215 Mentor Avenue.
This effort is being led by Mentor-resident Janice Habinski, who along with Ronald Prosek, wrote “Mentor – a retrospective” chronicling the history of our community back in 1988.
“The purpose is to honor and preserve the past, to embrace the present and to protect and plan for the future,” Habinski said of the society in a recent News-Herald article, “The first meeting is to get an order established, decide what committees we need, publicity, public meetings and other items.”
This meeting is open to the public, and all are welcome to attend.
