Bring on the Fun at a Mentor Event
There is always something to do in Mentor.  The City is known for the wide array of recreation opportunities available including programs, activities, and events.  In fact, the City hosts over 40 events each year for all ages and interests. Here are some of the most popular that you’re going to want to circle on your calendar.
The popular Mentor Rocks summer concert series is held Tuesday evenings, June 4 through August 27, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Mentor Civic Amphitheater. This year’s schedule includes national recording artists LeAnn Rimes, Maddie & Tae, and Finger Eleven, along with the nation’s best tribute bands.
Enjoy “Tunes at the Lagoons” as some of the area’s top local bands bring live music to life at the Mentor Lagoons Marina from 7:00 – 9:00 PM two Fridays per month this summer. Attendees can also enjoy food and refreshments from local food trucks weekly, as well as a selection of beers and wines for those 21 and over. Admission and parking are free.  The Mentor Lagoons Nature Preserve & Marina is located at 8365 Harbor Drive.
Join us for the Wildwood Arts & Wine Fest on Saturday, June 22, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM on the beautiful grounds of the Wildwood Cultural Center. Come to Wildwood Park for a day filled with art, music, wine and more! This outdoor event features over 65 gallery-style booths filled with vendors from every medium of fine art, fine craft and specialty foods lining the wooded estate grounds. Savor a glass of wine from several local wineries! Musical entertainment and food trucks round out the day’s festivities.
Celebrate Independence Day at the Amphitheater with a free concert by Forever Seger followed by a spectacular 25-minute fireworks display. Grounds open at 5:00 PM. Music starts at 6:30 PM. Fireworks at 9:50 PM. Popular local food trucks will be serving their festival favorites. A selection of beers, wines, and sparkling beverages will also be available for sale. Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Coolers are welcome. No pets, glass containers, or outside alcohol, permitted.
Mentor’s annual car cruise was first held in 2002 and attracts upwards of 800 vehicles and 2,500 spectators each year. All cars are welcome, from classics, street racers, vintage RVs from the 1990’s, to Scooby Doo’s groovy van, and more! This year’s event will be held on Saturday, August 10 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Mentor Civic Center Park. Pre-registration is not required.   Free admission and parking. No dogs, alcohol, rollerblades, or bicycles.
There is always time for one last summer bash! Mentor CityFest returns to Mentor Civic Center Park on Friday, August 16 & 17.  This two-day family-friendly festival is packed with activities, games, entertainment, food and more! Enjoy live music on the Mentor Civic Amphitheater stage Friday night with ZOSO and Saturday night with Just Like Pink.
