Celebrate Earth Day at the Wildwood Cultural Center on Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and enjoy family-friendly games and crafts, educational activities, great food, live music, earth-themed vendors, and much more.
The Mentor Natural Resources team will lead scheduled activities including invasive plant hand pulling, a guided ephemeral hike, painting with nature craft, mosaics with seed and beans craft, and tie-dye (craft for purchase).
Local musician, Mitch Larson, will be performing acoustic favorites from the 60s to today.
Participating organizations will include the Blackbrook Audubon Society, The Nature Conservancy, Friends of Headlands Beach State Park, Native Plant Society of Northeast Ohio, The Cleveland Museum of Natural History – Mentor Marsh, Crooked River Chapter of the Buckeye Trail, Mentor Public Library Seed Library, Northcoast, Inc. Recycling Specialists, I STEM Early College High School, James A. Garfield National Historic Site, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Lake Metroparks, and the Mentor Tree Commission.
Vendors in attendance will include Rabbit Food, Avonlea Gardens and Inn, Chickabuzz Honey, Jeez That’s Good, Chronically Clean Bath and Body, The Good Earth Project, Ogden Maple Farm, Sarsey Seams, Photography and Design Unlimited, and Phoam Natural.
