The unemployment rate in November 2022 for the City of Mentor decreased 0.7% to 3.3% and one year ago, the unemployment rate was 3.1%. For Lake County, the unemployment rate decreased 0.5% to 3.7% in November 2022 and one year prior, it was 3.5%.

Among cities in Ohio with a population of 50,000 or more, Kettering has the lowest unemployment rate with 2.8%, Columbus has the next lowest rate at 2.9%. Cuyahoga Falls has the third lowest rate with 3.2%, and Mentor has the fourth lowest rate at 3.3%. The City’s civilian labor force decreased 1,200 to 25,500.

The State of Ohio’s unemployment rate decreased 0.8% to 3.3% in November 2022. The rate for the State was 3.7% in November 2021.
