New program will pair Mentor and Israeli companies for innovative solutions to technology challenges.
The City of Mentor’s International Trade Initiative, in collaboration with Cleveland-based Good Marketing, Inc., and Israel-based Ridgeback Business Development Ltd., has launched an initiative aimed at helping Mentor-based companies forge collaborations with companies in the State of Israel.
Israel has been called the “Start-up Nation” for its reputation of developing cutting-edge technologies in business verticals that include healthcare, biotech, digital health, cybersecurity, aviation, aerospace, IT, agritech, foodtech, sensors, robotics, and AI.
Many companies depend on innovative technology solutions for their products, services, production, and operations. The Technology Challenge will match the needs of Mentor companies with targeted potential providers in Israel.
“The City of Mentor’s International Trade Initiative has already experienced great success in bringing international companies to invest in Mentor over the last few years and supplying guidance to Mentor companies for their export assistance needs,” said Kevin Malecek, Director of Economic Development and International Trade for the City of Mentor. “The Mentor Technology Challenge provides our companies with the opportunity to access innovative resources and connections in Israel while expanding the reach of our International Initiative to a new US-friendly global market where dozens of Northeast Ohio relationships already exist.”
“We look forward to leveraging the growth of innovative technologies in Israel on behalf of Mentor-based companies,” said Sid Good, President of Cleveland-based Good Marketing, Inc. “Our goal is to identify technology solutions that would be most beneficial to the Mentor business community and nurture relationships with resources in Israel that can be most productive.”
Mentor companies are encouraged to submit their technology challenges and inquiries through a customer-friendly online portal hosted by the City of Mentor through May 21, 2021.
