It’s summertime and our neighborhood roadways are as busy as ever. Although most Mentor neighborhoods have sidewalks, there are many that don’t and it’s important to remember to look out for one another.
Motorists know to share the road with pedestrians and bicyclists but there is another group to keep in mind as well – city workers, landscapers, and other contractors, working throughout the city.
Be sure to slow down and be aware of potential workers or equipment that may be behind trucks or trailers. Bear in mind that those operating lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and other equipment may not see or hear you as you approach them.
Let’s continue to keep an eye out for each other so we can all continue to have a safe and happy summer.
