Due to recent rains, the final paving of Lake Overlook has been rescheduled. The following letter was forwarded to affected residents:
Dear Resident,
Thank you for all of your patience and support during the reconstruction of Lake Overlook. We have come to our final phase of the project, which is the asphalt paving. In order to complete the paving, we are required to remove the stone ramps to your driveway for the final grading of the road, followed by paving. This will take a few days, and has been re-scheduled to begin on Wednesday, September 1st due to rain delays.
This phase requires that you do NOT park your car in your driveway OR the roadway during the daytime hours while we remove the ramps, grade the road, and then pave. During the evenings, when the construction crews are completed for the day, you may park your car on the road in front or near your house. On Wednesday, please have your car out of your drive and parked on a side street by 7:00 AM, as we will be removing the stone ramps and grading the road to get ready for paving. Paving will begin on Thursday, September 2nd, and the paving crews will need access to the entire road. You will have access to your driveway at the end of the day when the base course of the paving operations has been completed on the road. The final layer will be installed on Friday, September 3rd.
We thank you for your cooperation and continued patience as we close out this project. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Leong Tan at JTO, Inc. (440) 352-1900 or Allen Pennington at the City of Mentor (440) 974-5786.
