APPROVAL OF MINUTES REGULAR MEETING OF JULY 9, 2024
OLD BUSINESS
- WILLIAM NETHING & 7344 MENTOR AVENUE, LLC, FOR 7342 MENTOR AVENUE, PP16-A-001-A-00-002-0 requesting an Administrative Appeal of the Administration’s decision to deny an application for Re-Occupancy (REOC-24-24) in the B-2, General Business District, which is regulated under Ordinance No. 24-O-029.
NEW BUSINESS
- MATT LALLO FOR RUFF NEON & LIGHTING MAINTENANCE, requesting an Administrative Appeal of the decision of the Chief Building Official to revoke Contractor Registration (REG-31142), as regulated under Sec. 1307.05 of the Mentor Code of Ordinances.
- KEVIN PROVINCE & MICHELE MULLINS FOR 6389 MELDON DRIVE, PP16-C-083-I-00-019-0 requesting a variance to Sec. 1155.01(b) of the Mentor Code of Ordinances to allow a garage addition at a 7.1-ft. side setback and a 46.4-ft. front setback in lieu of the minimum required 10-ft. side setback and 50-ft. front setback in the R-2, Single Family Residential District.
- STANLEY BARNES FOR 8228 EDGEWOOD ROAD, PP16-C-077-F-00-005-0 requesting a variance to Sec. 1165.01(b)(3)(4) of the Mentor Code of Ordinances to allow a 1,536-sq.-ft. detached garage in lieu of detached garages shall not exceed 3% of the total lot area and not exceed a total allowable area of 1,354-sq.-ft. after allocating 50% of the permitted area for a storage building towards the new garage in the R-2, Single Family Residential District.
- STANLEY BARNES FOR 8228 EDGEWOOD ROAD, PP16-C-077-F-00-005-0 requesting a variance to Sec. 1165.01(b)(1) of the Mentor Code of Ordinances to allow for a detached garage at a height of 18-ft. in lieu of the maximum height of 15-ft. for accessory buildings in the R-2, Single Family Residential District.
- THOMAS PAUL & JOHN & STACEY CADDEL FOR 6305 TALL OAKS DRIVE, PP16-C-080-B-00-057-0 requesting a variance to Sec. 1165.01(a)(3)(b)(3)(4) & Sec. 1157.11 of the Mentor Code of Ordinances to allow a 1,224-sq.-ft. detached garage at a 5-ft. rear yard setback and a total lot coverage of 33.95% in lieu of the requirements that detached garages in excess of 576-sq.-ft. be setback a minimum of 20-ft. from the rear property line, shall not exceed the maximum allowable garage area of 576-sq.-ft., and shall not exceed a total lot coverage of 30% in the R-2, Single Family Residential District.
- PARAMOUNT CONSTRUCTION AND CONTRACTING, INC & STEVEN PIGOTT & WILLIAM THOMAS FOR 9160 JOHNNYCAKE RIDGE ROAD, PP16-A-022-0-00-021-0 & 16-A-022-E-00-001-0 requesting a variance to Sec. 1155.01(d) of the Mentor Code of Ordinances to allow a home addition at a 14.16-ft. front setback in lieu of the 60-ft. minimum front setback required in the R-4, Single Family Residential District.
