JobsOhio Innovation Fund
JobsOhio has created the JobsOhio Innovation Fund – a new program to provide Ohio’s entrepreneurial businesses with resources to soften the near-term impact of COVID-19 at this critical time. JobsOhio will allocate up to $50 million total toward this fund, and partner with Ohio’s current network of venture investors to provide loans into highest priority innovative investor-backed companies during this time. Mentor’s Very Own STERIS Corporation Received Emergency Use Authorization from FDA for Respirator Decontamination
The EUA enables healthcare providers to decontaminate N95 Respirators on-site by utilizing certain STERIS V-PRO® Low Temperature Sterilization Systems. The EUA allows STERIS to temporarily provide a solution for decontaminating compatible N95 or N95-equivalent respirators using the 28-minute Non-Lumen Cycle available on most V-PRO models. Mentor’s Avery Dennison Adjusts Its Medical Manufacturing to Donate Face Shields for COVID-19 Crisis
Mentor’s Avery Dennison Medical division adapted its manufacturing lines to produce disposable plastic face shields for healthcare professions requiring additional PPE in their line of work. Avery Dennison will produce and donate 500,000 of these to U.S. medical and healthcare facilities most in need beginning with Ohio’s hospitals including the Cleveland Clinic and Lake Health Hospital System. Mentor Head-Quartered Roll-Kraft Helps Manufacturers During Crisis
Roll-Kraft is open for business and available to provide tooling to companies that are increasing their efforts to meet the challenge during the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis. One such instance occurred recently when Welded Tubes, Inc., in Ohio was awarded a significant amount of business to manufacture hospital beds in response to the demands in various COVID-19 hotspots. It was determined their mill needed an additional tooling pass to aid in production and they contacted Roll-Kraft, who, in less than eight hours, provided the necessary tooling to keep their production running at full capacity and enabled them to fill this tremendous need.
