Mentor Fire Department will be testing hydrants from April 16 through May 23, 2014. The Mentor Fire Department works with Aqua Ohio to ensure that the more than 3,300 fire hydrants throughout the City of Mentor are functioning properly. During the testing process, large amounts of water are flushed through the hydrants to ensure adequate water supply flow and pressure in case of a fire.
