The City of Mentor has recently become a member of the British American Business Council in order to help foster additional international trade opportunities for Mentor-based companies.
Mentor recognizes that foreign trade and investment have played a major role in Mentor’s economy and hope to increase results in the coming years.
“Mentor-based companies export goods to six continents and about a dozen Mentor companies are currently owned by foreign interests,” says Kim Holizna, Mentor International Trade Initiative Manager, “Exploring key foreign investment opportunities as well as helping our companies tap into attractive foreign markets is vital to the continued economic success of our city.”
The mission of the Mentor International Trade Initiative is to assist Mentor-based companies who seek to expand or develop new export markets as well as attract foreign investment to the City of Mentor.
The British American Business Council (BABC) is a transatlantic networking organization, with 20 chapters across the US, UK, Canada and a local chapter in Northeast Ohio, including over 2,000 member companies and 10,000 business executives. The organization is committed to helping companies connect and build business on both sides of the Atlantic. The BABC is a part of the Greater Birmingham (UK) Chambers of Commerce Group which consists of 8 chambers.
