The Mentor Police Department is saddened to announce the passing of K9 Officer Achilles on August 18, 2024, due to a sudden medical emergency.
Achilles began service with Mentor Police Department in April 2019 alongside his partner/handler, Patrolman Terry Wurgler. Over the past 5 years, he served with courage and dedication. His impact on the department and community will not be forgotten.
