Watch out for mail from NOPEC

Watch your mail for important information from NOPEC!

Starting in April, eligible Mentor residents and small businesses will begin receiving enrollment letters for NOPEC’s electric aggregation program for the term beginning with their June 2026 meter read date.

NOPEC is required by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) to send enrollment letters to all eligible electric customers every three years.  The enrollment letter will also provide details on how to opt out of the program if residents choose to opt out.

Eligible residents and small businesses that want to join or remain with NOPEC do not need to take any action. They will automatically be enrolled in NOPEC’s Standard Program Price option.  NOPEC’s Standard Program Price is negotiated exclusively for residents and small businesses in NOPEC member communities.

NOPEC also offers customers the flexibility to choose from other rate options including a Monthly Variable Rate program, 12-or 24-month Fixed Term programs, and 100% renewable options.
