The City of Mentor proposes enhancing the I-90/SR-615 interchange by widening the bridge and both off-ramps. The project includes adding one lane to the bridge over I-90 to create a southbound left-turn lane and one lane to each off-ramp to provide a dedicated right-turn lane.
These improvements aim to address current and future traffic demands. A federal grant will partially fund permitting, preliminary engineering, and detailed design costs, with an estimated design cost of $3 million and construction cost of $12 million.

The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and the City of Mentor will conduct the environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by federal environmental laws, pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 11, 2015, executed by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and ODOT.
