The unemployment rate for the City of Mentor remained at 3.7% for the month of October 2018.  One year ago, the unemployment rate was 4.0%. In Lake County, the unemployment rate also remained the same as the previous month at 3.9%.

The City of Mentor’s unemployment rate is second lowest at 3.7% among cities in Ohio with a population of 50,000 or more. Lakewood has the lowest unemployment rate of 3.6%. The City’s civilian labor force decreased by 100 to 26,500.

The State of Ohio’s unemployment rate increased 0.2% to 4.3% for the month of October.
