The unemployment rate for the City of Mentor decreased to 3.9% for the month of March 2019. One year ago, the unemployment rate was 4.2%. In Lake County, the unemployment rate decreased to 4.2% from 4.7% for the month of March.

The City of Mentor’s unemployment rate is the sixth lowest at 3.9% among cities in Ohio with a population of 50,000 or more. Lakewood has the lowest unemployment rate of 3.2%. The City’s civilian labor force increased by 300 to 26,700.

The State of Ohio’s unemployment rate decreased 0.6% to 4.1% for the month of March.
