Starting February 14, residents will be receiving a mandatory Opt-Out notification from the Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council (NOPEC). Attached is a newsletter that NOPEC provided to the city that addresses some of the most common FAQ’ s about the new supplier. Also attached is a copy of a letter, the terms/conditions and a copy of the bill insert that residents will receive with their March/April natural gas bill.
NOPEC is mandated to send out every two years the opt out for natural gas and every three years the opt out for electricity. Residents and small businesses would have received opt out in July for electric services.
