The city of Mentor seeks to expand its present ADA accessible kayak dock at the Mentor Lagoons Marina. The proposed plan would expand the dock and increase kayak launch capabilities from one to four simultaneous users to meet a goal of Mentor’s 2011 Master Plan of promoting natural water body related activities such as kayaking.
The cost of the project is estimated to be $44,800, of which $33,600 or 75% will be reimbursed through an Ohio Department of Natural Resources NatureWorks grant. The project is expected to be completed by the summer of 2026.
The public is invited to review the plan and offer comment to Kevin Grippi, Grant Supervisor, at [email protected] by June 1, 2025.
