NOTICE OF ESTIMATED ASSESSMENTS
In accordance with Ohio Revised Code Sections 7.16, 729.07 & 729.08, a list of estimated assessments has been prepared for work associated with the 2016 Pedestrian Safety Program in Zone 2C of the City of Mentor, Ohio. A copy of this list is on file in the office of the Mentor Clerk of Council and Mentor City Engineer at 8500 Civic Center Blvd., Mentor, Ohio for inspection and examination by persons interested therein. Interested persons may contact the City’s Engineering Department by phone at (440) 974-5785 or by email at building@cityofmentor.com.
If any person objects to an assessment on such list, the person shall file the objection in writing with the Clerk of Council. Written objections must be received by 5:00PM on January 12, 2018.
Property owners may make full, partial, or no payment of the assessed amount to the City 30 days after passage of the assessment ordinance. The remaining unpaid balance will be forwarded to the County Auditor’s office. The balance, plus interest will be assessed on the property taxes in six (6) semi-annual installments beginning in 2018.
