The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio PUCO recently announced three in-person public hearings related to First Energy’s rate increase request. Consumers may attend these local public hearings and voice their concerns directly to one of the five Commissioners attending:
- Cleveland: 5 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2025 — Cleveland Public Library, Learning Commons Space, 325 Superior Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44114.
- Akron: 6 p.m. on Monday, April 7, 2025 — Akron-Summit County Public Library, 60 S. High Street, Akron, Ohio 44326.
- Toledo: 6 p.m. on Monday, April 14, 2025 — Board of Lucas County Commissioners, One Government Center, Suite 800, Toledo, Ohio 43604.
Tips on speaking at a public hearing may be found in OCC’s Make Your Voice Heard at the PUCO fact sheet. Public testimony becomes part of the record that the PUCO must consider in rendering its decision on FirstEnergy’s rate increase.
