We can all live a little greener. You and your family can learn how little changes in your lifestyle can add up to a big difference in our community at Sustainability in the Suburbs.
The event will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Mentor’s new 53-acre Springbrook Gardens Park and is hosted by the City of Mentor Natural Resources Department.
This year’s theme is “Protect our Species”. Experts from our Natural Resources team as well as other local organizations including the Alliance for the Great Lakes, Lake Metroparks, the Mentor Public Library, and the Mentor Tree Commission will be on hand to raise your green IQ through a variety of games, interactive activities, and presentations. You’ll also enjoy live music, animals, and more.
Local vendors will be offering a variety of organic and environmentally-friendly products for sale. Food and refreshments from area food trucks will be also be available for purchase.
Admission and parking to the event are free. Springbrook Gardens Park is located at 6842 Heisley Road in Mentor.
