Meals on Wheels
The Lake County Council on Aging’s “Meals on Wheels” program is in need of volunteer drivers to deliver meals and volunteers to assist in the kitchen packing meals. They are looking for volunteers who can commit to delivering meals or helping in the kitchen. Learn more.
New Resource for Adult Day Services
Adult day services offer an affordable alternative to traditional long-term care placement and allow older adults who need support to remain in their homes longer. Ohioans are now able learn more about these services through AdultDayOhio.org which includes frequently asked questions and guidance for caregivers, health care providers, and referral sources, as well as a comprehensive directory of adult day centers across the state. This resources is made available through a partnership between the Ohio Department of Aging (ODA) and LeadingAge Ohio.
