City Council Meeting – January 7, 2025
The regularly schedule city council meeting will be held on January 7, 2025, at 7:00 PM in Council Chambers located on the third floor of the Mentor Municipal Center. The meeting will be preceded by a work session at 5:30 PM. Mentor City Council meetings are open to the public and are broadcast live on the Mentor Channel, Spectrum 1024, U-Verse 99, and on our App available for ROKU, Apple, Android, and Amazon Fire. Christmas Tree Dropoff Sites
After Christmas, recycle your live tree at a Mentor Park. Drop-off locations include:

  • Edward R. Walsh Park – 7221 Bellflower Road
  • Eleanor B. Garfield Park – 7967 Mentor Avenue
  • Donald E. Krueger Park – 7556 Chillicothe Road
  • Morton Park – 9325 Rosemary Lane

Please remove all decorations and plastic bags. Drop-off locations will be open through January 31, 2025.

Volunteer at the Senior Center
The Mentor Senior Center offers an array of programs and activities across a wide range of interests for those 55+ in our community and we can use some help to deliver a quality experience for our members. We are currently seeking volunteers in a number of positions with a special need for lunchtime kitchen helpers.  Learn more by contacting the Mentor Senior Center at (440) 974-5725.

Chill Out in Mentor
Celebrate the winter season at Mentor Chill Out on January 18, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Mentor Civic Center Park. This exciting event offers a full day of activities for the whole family including our popular Chilly Cook Off which will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

Join Us at the Rec
The 128,000 SF Mentor Community Recreation Center is one of the largest facilities of its kind in Northeast Ohio and includes an indoor soccer field, basketball, tennis, racquetball, and pickleball courts, golf simulators, an open concept fitness center, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, cardiovascular and weight training areas, group exercise rooms, a childcare room, an outdoor playground, and other amenities.
