MENTOR SENIOR CENTER ARTS & CRAFTS SHOW
Come shop an amazing variety of handmade arts and crafts created by talented local vendors at the Mentor Senior Center on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 9 AM to 3 PM. From unique décor to thoughtful gifts, there’s something for everyone! Concessions will be available for purchase — come hungry and ready to enjoy a fun day of shopping and community!

MENTOR POLICE FILL-A-CRUISER
Mentor Police will be hosting their twelfth annual Fill-a-Cruiser Food Drive on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Giant Eagle supermarket located at 8383 Tyler Boulevard. Officers will be collecting non-perishable food items and cash donations which will be distributed to food pantries to benefit families within the City of Mentor. Non-perishable food items and cash donations will support the St. Bede’s and St. Mary of the Assumption Food Pantries serving families in Mentor.

BE A SANTA TO A SENIOR
The Be a Santa to a Senior giving tree will once again be up in the Mentor Municipal Center lobby and loaded with tags representing senior citizens in need right here in Lake County beginning Monday, November 17, 2025, at 9:00 AM. Gift tags include requests for simple things like bath towels, dust pans, toiletries, stamps, and clothing.  In addition, each senior will receive a letter, handwritten by a local honor society student, a handmade card, and a phone call. Please choose a tag, or tags, and purchase the gift listed. When you are finished shopping, please return the gift (with the tag attached to it) to the box located next to the tree no later than December 5, 2025. The Mentor Municipal Center is located at 8500 Civic Center Boulevard, Mentor OH 44060 and is open Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.

MENTOR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Mentor City Council will meet on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 7:00 PM in council chambers located on the third floor of the Mentor Municipal Center. Mentor City Council meetings are open to the public and are broadcast live on the Mentor Channel, Spectrum 1024, U-Verse 99, and on our App available for ROKU, Apple, Android, and Amazon Fire. Meetings are rebroadcast numerous times throughout the following week.

The live digital stream of the Mentor Channel is currently offline as our team continues network fortification following the October cyberattack.  The stream will be restored prior to the next scheduled Mentor City Council meeting on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.  In the interim, you can access Meeting Archives as well as other content on our YouTube channel.

HOMETOWN HEROES
Thanks to all who participated in this year’s hometown heroes banner program. The banners have been taken down for the season and are available for pickup in the Mentor Municipal Center lobby Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.  Registration for the 2026 program will begin in January.

NOPEC ANNOUNCES NEW RATES
NOPEC has released new rates for gas and electric service in the city of Mentor effective January 2026.  Mentor is a NOPEC community, but the consumer does have the right to choose their gas or electric provider. YARD WASTE PICKUP
The yard waste program continues for four more weeks through December 12, 2025. Residents who receive curbside service can place up to 25 units at the curb on trash day for pickup. A unit is one bag, bundle or container of yard waste. Learn more.
