
MENTOR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Mentor City Council will meet on Monday, November 3, 2025, at 7:00 PM in council chambers located on the third floor of the Mentor Municipal Center. MUNICIPAL PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING
The Municipal Planning Commission will meet on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 7:00 PM in council chambers located on the third floor of the Mentor Municipal Center. Meetings are open to the public and are broadcast live on the Mentor Channel, Spectrum 1024, U-Verse 99, and on our App available for ROKU, Apple, Android, and Fire. Meetings are rebroadcast numerous times throughout the following week.
REC CENTER UPGRADES / PARTIAL CLOSURE
The soccer center will be closed on Monday, November 3, 2025, from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM as a crane lifts three new rooftop HVAC units in place. The free weight area (mezzanine) and basketball courts will be closed on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM for placement of the fitness center HVAC units. The new HVAC systems are expected to be fully operational in the next several weeks.
In addition, the rear parking lot (soccer center) will be resurfaced from Wednesday, November 5, through Friday, November 8. Please use the front lot in the interim.

OPERATION SNOW LIFT
Winters in Northeast Ohio can be unpredictable and seniors in particular may find it challenging to clear their driveways during heavy winter storms. The city has partnered with the Lake County Council on Aging to create and test a pilot emergency snowplowing assistance program. Operation Snowlift is designed to support low-to-moderate-income Mentor residents who are 62 and older who meet specific income criteria and may struggle to afford per-push snow removal services. VETERANS DAY
The City of Mentor will host a Veterans Day ceremony at 11:11 AM on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, to honor the men and women who have served our country in the military. The ceremony will be held at the Mentor Municipal Cemetery memorial promenade located at 6881 Hopkins Road. This year’s keynote speaker is Brigadier General Peter Collins, USMC (Ret.). Learn more.
YARD WASTE LIMIT INCREASE
During the Fall, the amount of yard waste homeowners can put out each week increases from 12 to 25 units from October 27 through December 12, 2025. A unit is one bag, bundle or container of yard waste. Learn more.
