The Lake County General Health District updated requirements of landscaping activities effective April 17, 2020.
Landscaping activities can be undertaken, but must follow the following guidelines:
- Limiting one person per vehicle (the driver) at any time. This is to ensure distancing is met.
- Maintaining 6 feet of separation while performing any tasks that are being done.
- Workers shall wash hands as often as possible.
- Workers who have symptoms or are sick should be excluded from work and follow guidelines on self-isolation or quarantine if positive.
- Use of hand sanitizer as often as possible until thorough hand washing can be done.
- Any payment should be completed over the phone or website if possible.
Residents are free to mow and maintain their own properties and are encouraged to get outside to stay healthy and active.
