Election season is upon us and signs have been sprouting up across the city.
Mentor residents are reminded that our ordinances allow one ground sign per development unit (your yard) with a maximum area of 15 square feet year round. During the election cycle however, one additional ground sign is permitted per candidate and/or ballot issue for which a voter in the City may cast a ballot.
No signs are permitted to be placed in the public right of way, including tree lawns. Learn more about Mentor Signage Ordinances.
You can report nonconforming signs by contacting the Code Enforcement Department at codeenforcement@cityofmentor.com.
